the Hayne Way: Site Visits nearing Completion

Site visits are crucial to ensuring that our designs come to life in the real world.  We typically schedule our site visits during the construction phase weekly, but depending on project size and location, sometimes we settle for every other week, or even once a month.  These visits aim to track project progress, schedule, address issues that arise in the field, and confirm that what we drew and spent weeks, months, and sometimes years designing, actually becomes a reality.

As we near project completion, when jobs are almost photo-ready (if we can ever remember to actually schedule those photoshoots **cough, cough**), our site documentation goes from photographing the general progress of spaces to zoomed-in views of the details. This is a necessary shift in focus to start creating our punchlists, but sometimes can be incredibly frustrating when you yourself are not the one visiting the site…

Case in point, our Claremont Old Clubhouse project is just waiting on some final punch list items and Health Department approval and it will be ready to serve up cocktails & mocktails for its members. When the big Boss Man came back from his last visit, he said everything was “looking great” and that the photos were in the project folder… so let’s check them out!

As a comparison, here are the previous site visit photos from our visit last month…

We will just need to wait until final completion and head out there to see the space for ourselves… Note, remember to bring the “good” camera…
