Architect on Vacation: Holli in Hawaii

Last week, I took an actual vacation… I know, it’s CRAZY!  Although my days were mostly filled with relaxing near a pool or on the sand overlooking the ocean, I just couldn’t stop myself from taking some archi-photos.

Obligatory Airplane Photo. Puffs of clouds over the ocean.
Lobby ceiling and patchwork rake window at Aulani Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai’i.
Hotel wallpaper. Pattern on Pattern.
Object in Landscape. Makapu’u Point Lighthouse trail.
Delicate overlapping arches over a standard rectangular building.
(My husband tells me that I took the same photo 10 years ago… Well, I like what I like…)
Fishscale Facade.
Dynamic facade application. A play of sun, shadow, and wind.
Construction drawings for a traditional Hawaiian house. Waimea Valley Waterfall Hike.
Twisted Tower.
A little bit of Vegas in Hawaii. Leonards Bakery Malasadas were delicious!
And of course a North Shore ocean view.

Now, back to work…
