Here@Hayne we have a new project on the boards and we are totally digging it! I mean, who doesn’t want to work on a house with a jellyfish tank???
Here is a snapshot of the project as we move into design development and start looking at materials, space planning and cabinetry details.
You enter directly into the kitchen work space and have a clear open view toward the dining and living room.
We are going for a modern masculine vibe with walnut cabinetry, black stone countertops and wood flooring. In our design meeting, we decided to move the microwave drawer to the island. We also decided to go with a lighter finish on the floors to help increase the contrast between the floors and the cabinetry. The countertop is too shiny and has too much movement, so we are going to be looking at Absolute Black granite in a leather finish (an all time favorite here@Hayne).
I know, I know, the sofa looks to boxy! Listen, we are still trying to find some good quality basic furniture, as we HATE the ones that come in the standard REVIT family folders… This L-shaped sectional and the ottomans are simple Hayne creations that allow us to get the basic idea of size and shape. They are definitely not render friendly, but enough about our lack lusted upholstered furniture, can you see those 4 large screen TVs? I mean who doesn’t want to watch 3 “sporting” events (does poker count?) and a movie at the same time?!?!?! Can someone say personal sportsbook?
I am sorry, but seriously LOVING the jellyfish tank idea! Such a fun divider between the living room and dining room. I’m getting a “Bond” vibe… or maybe a “Bond villain” vibe…
This house wouldn’t be complete with out a killer outdoor living space. We are looking at using a new shade structure system that is automated and can go from open trellis to closed roof… #awesomesauce
